To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour.

PHOTO RESTORATION SAMPLE WORK

To demonstrate my restoration skills I chose this old picture which was broken and then glued together in a careless way. I virtually cut the picture into separate pieces again, put them in right positions and filled the missing spaces. After that I removed scratching, mold and other damage.
This kind of work I call Major Restoration because it requires applying variety of retouching techniques and takes a lot of time.
If a picture doesn't have such a serious damage and doesn't have missing important parts, I call it Basic or Moderate restoration, depending on the extent of work.

Keep in mind that you don't have to send the original images because I can work with a copy. Restoration work usually takes time and requires great care but can give your treasured old pictures a new life. original photo original photo photo restoration

In the images below you can see all happy family together. The picture on the left is the original old photo with all the damage.

Firs of all I made a copy to retain the original photo. All my further work was done on the copy.

After completing the black and white image as explained before I lightened it and added contrast. Finally I put some delicate color on faces and hands and colored clothes according to family members' memories. I didn't use colors that are too bright in order to keep the image still looking old.

I hope my work doesn't destroy memories about the time the picture was taken but just refreshes it. photo restoration
